Diets don’t work. Many clients often say this in their first consultation and that they know this as they have tried them all! I teach my clients how to stop dieting and change their lifestyles for good.

Eating and emotions are often linked and if this is the case, both issues will need to be addressed. People will need to learn to identify if they are eating for stomach hunger (real physical hunger) or mouth hunger (emotional hunger). Mouth hunger can never be satisfied with food.    

Most people who are overweight and spent years on different diets, don’t have a weight problem, they have an eating problem. Whether weighing themselves or food, scales help to feed diet and weight obsessions and can influence mood and more seriously self-esteem and self-worth.

Increased physical activity, whether joining a gym or walking around the block, physical activity has many benefits but, in many people, the most important benefit is that it helps them manage their stress and therefore reduce stress or comfort eating.    

What to eat: MODERATION IS THE KEY TO HEALTH, WEIGHT CONTROL AND ENJOYMENT OF LIFE.

Everyone is different and there is no one diet fits all. I will look at your goals, your existing eating patterns, your weight and medical history and your lifestyle and will work out an eating plan for your that is sustainable.
